We vacationed in the US Virgin Islands a few years back and a lovely little feral cat was hanging around. I took her to the Humane Society to be neutered and when we returned they informed that since she was positive for FIV, they put her down! I would have done anything necessary including bringing her back to our home. I am so sorry to know that such an otherwise healthy little cat could have lived.

We have an FIV+ positive cat, he lives separately from our others. He was supposed to be a trap-neuter-return until he tested positive. He is very healthy despite his status. Thank you for this great information!

My Moe, (who lives with my in-laws) was a feral cat and she has FIV but is (thus far) still a healthy kitty.
