Over 400 confirmed human kills...
Shot by Jim Corbett in 1910 in Kumaon, Northern India...
OMG! 400? Yikes!
Don't know how you could kill something that looks so beautiful like that with all of it's spots. It's so sad :(
@ ablogintherough: it was not Jim Corbett - but the maneating leopard that had killed four hundred people...
That is certainly scary, over 400 people killed by the leopard. Fortunately, such "serial maneaters" are rare, I think.
This man-eating leopard killed 400 confirmed kills over a period of single year.
i think its shocking how someone could kill such an amazing creature its so horrible

That was the estimated kill count in grand total over its entire career as a man-eater. Its true kill count was probably fewer still.Others asked how one could kill such a beautiful animal... Tell that to the mothers of the children it killed. Stupid.
Yes its true this leopard was killed for being a maneater . its sad as well as a relief ....u can truely understand the emotions only when u read Jim Corbett's books . U can get to know jungle and its creatures like never before....i have read it so many times yet everytime i read , its still so thrilling .
Please read Jim Corbetts book about man-eating cats in India und can understand much more about this topic.
